IGFA School of Sportfishing

The 41st Annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show is the largest boat show on the Gulf Coast and takes place Thursday, November 29 through Sunday, December 2, 2018.

The highly acclaimed IGFA School of Sportfishing will host four seminars during the show on Saturday, December 1, featuring some of the area’s best captains instructing attendees on techniques that took them decades to learn. All of the seminars are FREE with admission; just show up!

Each seminar will focus on a different topic, and will include one-on-one questions with the area’s top professional captains.

FREE Kids' Fishing Clinics*:

December 1 & 2, 2018

Saturday at 12 & 2pm

Sunday at 1 & 3pm

Clinics are at the east end of the show. Look for the lighthouse.

The Kids' Fishing Clinics, presented by Hook the Future, are open to all kids ages 4-16 and feature marine life experts teaching kids basic fishing techniques. Kids will go through different entertaining and educational stations hosted by Captain Don Dingman. At the end there will be drawings for great prizes.

For the 18th year in a row, The Cruisers' Party hosted by Bob & Jody Bitchin of Cruising Outpost Magazine will take place at the St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show.  This was where the famous Cruisers' Parties started, and they have spread all over the US and as far away as Australia, The Virgin Islands and Tahiti. But the original is right here in St. Petersburg.

It starts at the close of show Sunday night, December 2nd, at 7PM and will take place on the "Budweiser & Goslings Floating Barge" right inside the show-grounds.  There will be drawing for lots of great prizes from merchants at the show.

The rules? Simple! We supply the pizza & cold beer & soft-drinks as long as it lasts.  There will also be an open no-host bar. We even bring in The Eric Stone for your dancing pleasure, but you gotta bring your own dance. Oh yeah, you MUST be in the show before it closes.  No one will be admitted after the close of show.
