ON-WATER BOAT COURSES WITH ASOS & PROGRESSIVE
The Annapolis School of Seamanship (ASOS) and Progressive have teamed up to provide an incredible opportunity available to all attendees, offering complimentary on-water boat training courses.
These courses include: Basic Boat Operator, Women at the Wheel, and Junior Captains Program. Learn and practice through hands-on training aboard powerboats under the watchful eye and careful instruction of U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captains from the Annapolis School of Seamanship.

Basic Boat Operator: Basic Boat Operator is for boaters of all skill levels and teaches them the basics of safe boat practices, radio communications, line handling, docking, operating at speed, and weather. Students will learn these skills operating single outboard powerboats and gain the confidence to safely and effectively skipper their own powerboat.
Women at the Wheel: Women at the Wheel gives women the skills and confidence to safely and effectively skipper their own powerboat. Topics covered include safe boating practices, radio communications, line handling, docking, operating at speed, and weather. Students will learn and practice these skills operating single outboard powerboats.
Junior Captains Program: Junior Captains offers on-water training for children between the ages of 11-15. The program covers basic boating and safety skills such as, fueling, docking, man overboard, weather awareness, knots, line handling and much more! Students will gain the confidence and knowledge of smart boating practices to safely operate a vessel.
